Fight for Your Creativity

Before the World Drowns It Out

We live in a world that’s louder than ever.

Every quiet moment is filled with someone else’s voice. Podcasts. TikToks. Reels. News. YouTube. Ads. Opinions. Noise. And somewhere in the middle of all that…

You lose track of your own.

But here’s the truth:
Your creativity is still in there.
You just have to fight for it.

There Are Too Many Voices Competing for Your Attention

Every day, countless apps, channels, and platforms are fighting for your focus. Notifications pull you left and right. Algorithms keep feeding you more to scroll, more to click, more to consume.

But here’s the question I want you to ask yourself:

When was the last time you created something?
Not watched someone else. Not researched. Not planned.
But actually created something that came from you?

You Need to Be One of the Voices

If you want your creativity to survive in this digital world, you have to become one of the voices. Not just a passive consumer—a creator.

There are too many copycats out there. The world doesn’t need another imitation.
It needs your perspective. Your originality. Your spin on it.

You have to show up for yourself.

We’re Consuming So Much, We Forget to Create

Let’s be honest:
We’ve all fallen into the trap. The rabbit hole of tutorials, deep dives, and endless research.

But watching content about creativity isn’t the same as being creative.
Researching is not the same as doing.

YouTube tutorials, while helpful, can quietly become a form of procrastination. They trick us into feeling productive without ever demanding we put our own voice on the line.

Action Over Everything Else

Want to boost your creativity?

You don’t need more inspiration.
You need to act.

Write a page.
Record an idea.
Draw the sketch.
Start the thing.

Because creativity is a muscle. If you don’t use it, you lose it.

And it doesn’t have to be perfect. In fact, it probably won’t be at first.
But perfection was never the point—progress is.

Put Your Own Spin On It

You don’t need to create something entirely original from scratch.
You just need to create something that feels like you.

Let your voice shape it. Let your style guide it.
The more honest you are with your creative work, the more powerful—and needed—it becomes.

Reclaim Your Voice

So I’ll leave you with this:

Whose voice are you listening to the most these days?
And when will you start listening to your own again?

Your creativity is worth protecting.
It’s worth nurturing.
It’s worth fighting for.

I’m Colt

Heyo! Thanks for checking out the site. I host a show called the My Career Path Podcast on YouTube. I started this channel after graduating from Utah State University. I wanted to find out more about the different careers that are out there. Because I really didn’t know what I wanted to do for work. So, I interviewed friends, neighbors, and friends of friends. Now, I want to help other people find their paths.
